We traditionally do not feel an obligation to govern our legislative on basis of the Recommendations. Main types of satellite user terminals are operated (incl. their circulation) according to several General Licenses. Demand for licenses for operation of other satellite equipment or provision of services occurs very rarely.
Current legislative prescribes inter alia an obligation of registration (kept in Czech language) at Commercial Register of the Czech Republic for each subject entering to local market. New legislative based on new set of EC Telecommunication Directives, which is expected to enter into force on 1st January 2004, will significantly change regulatory environment. Under these conditions will be then reconsidered the commitment status of this Recommendation |

By the Decisions of the Telecommunications Board, it is decided that Turkey would come into harmonisation with 97/710/EC by 31.03.02. The preparation of necessary secondary legislation on licensing satellite services could be finished on 04.02.02 and licenses have been issued since 15.02.02. At the moment, Turkey is at the stage of informing the Shop about the questions that will be asked to the applicants. The official application to OSS will be made in a short time |
